Game: The R.E.D. Tour is coming to MontBleu, Friday, October 28, with special guests Mic Rob (Reno), and DJ Mr. Wilson & Quette Daddie (Sacramento).  GAME (formerly The Game) went from Gangsta to great musician right before our eyes. He recharged legendary west coast captain Dr. Dre, delivering the producer’s last true Cali-themed classic in “The Documentary” and then took it upon himself to keep West Coast hip-hop relevant – #1 hit single, #1 album and $20 million-dollar film role at a time.  His official foray into Hip Hop, “The Documentary”, was a #1 Billboard 200 debut, selling an impressive 586,000 units in the first week continuing to 2.5 million plus units in the US. The first official street single, “Westside Story”, charted at #55 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart which is remarkable for an urban radio favorite constructed with aggressive content.  And now, mega producers Cool and Dre and DJ Premiere had joined R&B artists like Chris Brown, Drake and Nelly Furtado, Game’s music-life mentors Dr. Dre, Snoop and Busta Rhymes and new era rap stars Kendrick Lamar, Tyler the Creator in the R.E.D. Album’s mix of high profile features. This even before a formal announcement from parent label Interscope/Aftermath or executive producers Dr. Dre and Pharrell. The project is widely considered the most anticipated album of 2011, and is available now. After selling more than 10 million albums worldwide on the strength of only three projects, Game is without question the most efficient, marketable and saleable Hip Hop artist on the West Coast.  Tickets are just $20 (+tax/fees) and available at all Ticketmaster outlets, and at the MontBleu Box Office, or online at www.ticketmaster.com  You can also purchase by phone by calling MontBleu Resort, 775-588-3515.

Actor/Comedian, Christopher Titus will debut at MontBleu, Saturday, November 5.  A seemingly overnight success with his own TV series, “Titus”, Christopher at age 35 struggled to reach that peak. His series is based on his life. His father was a womanizing beer guzzling salesman. Living with his father, he endured a series of stepmothers until, at age 12, he decided to run away from home. He moved into a garage with his biological mother, a classically trained pianist. She spent much of her time in mental institutions before finally committing suicide. From these situations he developed what Titus calls therapeutic stand-up comedy. Like his TV show character, he enjoys customizing cars and currently has four.  Tickets are $29.50 reserved.

To launch the ski season and “The Sound of Winter” in South Lake Tahoe, MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa and Heavenly Mountain Resort presents multi-platinum rock band BUSH on Saturday, Nov. 26. The band is celebrating the release of ‘The Sea of Memories,’ their first new album in 10 years, and their chart-topping lead single, “The Sound of Winter.” Over the course of their remarkable career, Bush has sold more than 16 million albums in the U.S. and Canada alone. They’ve also compiled an amazing string of 14 consecutive Top 40 hit singles on the Billboard Modern Rock and Mainstream Rock charts, including 10 that hit the Top 5.  Four of these became No. 1 hits: “Comedown,” “Glycerine,” “Swallowed” and “The Chemicals Between Us.” Tickets are $55 and on sale now.

Tosh.0 fans will be flooding Lake Tahoeon December 16-17.  Comedian/Talk Show Host, Daniel Tosh is already sold-out the Saturday show, and we added a second show on Friday, December 16.  As of this writing, the Friday show had a few hundred tickets left.  Call MontBleu or go online at Ticketmaster.com quickly before they are gone.

August 2011 – PREpresents hosts this year’s Lake Tahoe Music Festival

PR Entertainment, Inc., has a lot of new, exciting projects this summer.  We’re proud to have been awarded the contract to service this year’s Lake Tahoe Music Festival  (www.tahoemusic.org).  The Blues Traveler took the stage at the outdoor amphitheater at the Northstar Village to kick-off the series.  The near capacity crowd was on their feet the entire show as John Popper whaled his popular hits with his band.  The setting couldn’t be more perfect with the village stops, bars, and restaurants surrounding the concert venue.  Northstar did it right with plenty of food & beverage stands throughout the facility.  Parking is easy, staff is friendly, and the sound couldn’t be more clear and full.  We are super excited to present singer/songwriter Colbie Callait on Thursday, August 4, followed by hit-maker Michael Bolton on August 25.  Do yourself a favor this summer, and enjoy the outdoor music festival at Northstar.

Another new gig is with the Outside TV network/Lake Tahoe Television (www.laketahoetelevision.net).  We are now hosting the “Tahoe Tonight” show which airs three times daily in Lake Tahoe,Reno, andCarson City.  This 30-minute talk show features entertainment updates, north shore reports, and interesting interviews.  A brand new segment called “Backstage With PR” will start airing this month featuring interviews with upcoming artists and celebrites playing the market, and backstage interviews with bands and headliners.  Frontman, Aaron Lewis of Staind, will be on the, Medium James Van Praagh, Chelsea Lately comedian Loni Love, and lots more. Don’t miss the brand new “Backstage With PR” on Lake Tahoe TV.  Check your local listings for channel and times.

Last year, my co-producer Tony Clark and I won the coveted 2010 “Producer of the Year” award from the International Magician Society, which is to magic what the Oscars are the movies.  Tony and I have produced over 14 award-winning theatrical production shows around the world, including the family-friendly show, “Masters Of Magic” which has returned for it’s 3rd season at MontBleu Casino.  Lake Tahoe’s only all-ages family show, “Masters of Magic”, features Magician of the Year, Tony Clark, Stage Magician of the Year, Danny Cole, and the lovely Stacy Cole, Christopher Hart from The Addams Family movies (“Thing”), as well as Farrell Dillion from TV’s Masters of Illusion.  “Masters Of Magic” runs nightly Wednesday-Sunday, at 8p, with two shows on Saturday 7pm & 9pm.  This is an all-ages show perfect for the entire family.   $19.95 for adults, $14.95 for children 17 and under.   MontBleu offers amazing Buffet/Show packages with discounts up to $5.00 per adult on show tickets.

PRE has booked a great August for concert goings at the lake.  Singer/Songwriter Brandi Carlile who has been selling out venues around the country will stop at Lake Tahoe on her national tour, Tuesday, August 2.   Frontman Aaron Lewis of Staind, will come solo acoustic on Saturday, August 6, which is one of my personal favorite live music show and one not to be missed.   And don’t miss KC & The Sunshine Band, Sunday, August 7 at MontBleu. Part of the kick-off party for Hot August Nights.

Fans have fallen head over heels in love with Chelsea Handler and made E!’s hit show, Chelsea Lately a nightly destination for laughs and all out insanity. For one night only catch LIVE stand-up performances by your favorite Chelsea Lately comedians, Loni Love, Jen Kirkman, Fortune Feimster, and Chelsea’s “Little Nugget”, Chuy.  They will take MontBleu’s stage on Saturday, Aug 13.   Ticket are on sale now starting at just $25.   This will be a great night of comedy.

One of the hottest tickets of the summer will be Thirty Seconds To Mars, Sunday, Sept 4 at MontBleu.  Formed in 1998 by frontman (Actor) Jared Leto and his older brother, Thirty Seconds to Mars found success in the 2000s with a mix of post-grunge, screamo, and hard rock. The band gained a modest audience with its debut album, but it was the platinum-selling sophomore effort A Beautiful Lie that officially opened the flood gates in 2005, securing the band a frequent presence on MTV while paving the way for a number of successful tours.  Get your tickets early as this show will sell-out.

Ziggy Marley, the son of the legendary Bob Marley, is coming to the MontBleu Theatre, Sunday, September 25.  Rumor has it that Trevor Hall will join on this show, but at the time of this writing could not be confirmed.  Visit the brand new entertainment website, www.PREpresents.com or www.facebook.com/PREpresents for all the updated concert information, free ticket giveaways, special offers, pictures and videos from PR Entertainment, Inc.

The entertainment line-up at MontBleu is more specular than even.  I’d love to be able to write stories on each artist we book there, but the only give me so much room.   I encourage you to check out our new website, www.PREpresents.com, or “Like” us on Facebook www.facebook.com/PREpresents.  All our shows, events, and great contests where you can win tickets, and meet your favorite artist are all available with pics, videos, bios, links blogs and more.  Learn more about Chelsea Lately’s own, Jo Koy, appearing July 2, DJ Keoki/Liquid Stranger + DubWarz on July 10, Todd Rundgren LIVE July 14, Comedian, host of America’s Got Talent and Mariah’s hubby, Nick Cannon on July 16,  Party Rocker himself Sky Blu from LMFAO, along with DJ Donald Glaude on July 22, followed by the hilarious Lisa Lampanelli on July 23.   Then “The Ghost Whisperer” from CBS, James Van Praagh will mesmorize audiences with his gift of speaking with the dead in the MontBleu Theatre on July 30.  Other great shows confirmed this summer so far include  MelleFresh from DeadMau5, Singer/Songwriter Brandi Carlile, Aaron Lewis of Staind, KC & The Sunshine Band Dance Party, and  The Comedians of Chelsea Lately (Loni Love, Josh Wosh, Jen Kirkman, Fortune Feimster) on Aug 10.

If you love great beats and an all-night dance party, grab your Red Bulls and buy a ticket to see DJ Keoki and Liquid Stranger.  The undisputed first and most legendary DJ of all time, Superstar Keoki boasts a resume that other DJs can’t even dream about. A visionary turned iconic pioneer, he spearheaded the movement and spawned the growth of electronic music around the world. Over two million records sold… Limelight, Party Monster, Ego Trip… five million miles traveling around the world… the ups, the downs, and the fame and fortune; Keoki is truly a living legend – the first, last, and only of his kind.  Adding Liquid Stranger to this show was a no-brainer!  Traveling the uncharted terrains of sound, Liquid Stranger’s creative output spans a wide range of electronic music in all of its colors and shades. The Liquid Stranger has been working professionally with music since 1996 and has released over 50 titles under various pseudonyms in that time. He used to DJ for Breaks FM in London and has worked with numerous record labels including; Dragonfly, Botchit & Scarper, Six Degrees, Hope Recordings, Ministry of Sound, Spirit Zone, Muti Music, Rottun Recordings and Interchill.  This amazing evening of electronic music will also feature DubWarz – battling Man vs Machine as DubStep DJ’s battle it out on-stage.  This Seattle concept was masterminded by Billy Wonka (www.thewonkavision.com) who will battle live with (((xmfredie))).  DürtyNv, (Bass Union) VS FM Marc VS MotorHome.

If you’ve never seen a real-life Medium demonstrate his gift of speaking with deceased loved ones, I highly recommend seeing America’s most gifted and popular Mediums, James Van Praagh.   Some of you might remember his TV talk show, Beyond, or his many appearance of Oprah, 20/20, The View, and his upcoming special on Nightline.  He is a #1 Best Selling Author was over 10 books on the national best seller including his latest book “Growing Up In Heaven” (growingupinheaven.com), which was released this past May. He is also the creator and Executive Producer of The Ghost Whisperer on CBS, which ran eight seasons as their #1 drama in that time slot.  It was the story of James’ life.   James Van Praagh is a “survival medium” which means he is able to bridge the gap between two planes of existence, that of the living and that of the dead, by providing evidential proof of life after death via detailed messages.  It is so compelling to witness the proof of life-after-death, that no matter what your personal beliefs are, you will leave the show with a much broader perspective on this subject.  I have been handling James for a few years now, and have promoted his shows around the world, from Australia, Europe, and all over the US.  Each show I’ve witnessed has moved, touched and inspired me to open my mind to this realm of possibility.  This is James’ first visit to Lake Tahoe.  Tickets range in all price ranges starting at $25/$35/$45, and a VIP experience for $75.

All of the confirmed shows can be found at www.montbleuresort.com, or find PR Entertainment Fan Page, www.facebook.com/PREpresents.

June 2011 – Wiz Khalifa making a stop at Montbleu in Lake Tahoe

June is my favorite months to write for The Entertainer. I get to announce the summer shows we’re producing and events we’re working on to make the summer sizzle in the Tahoe basin. This Summer 2011 is going to be one of the best seasons in my 23 year tenure.

Let’s start out talking about one of the biggest hip-hop tours of the summer making a stop in Lake Tahoe. Wiz Khalifa, who graced the cover of Rolling Stones magazine last month, is selling out 4000+ capacity arenas across the country. MontBleu Resort will host Wiz, along with Chevy Woods and DJ Bonics on June 21 inside the MontBleu Theatre. This Tahoe show happens to be the most intimate venue on Wiz’s entire tour, selling out in just 3 days. If you didn’t get tickets and still want to part of the action, Blu Nightclub and PR Entertainment are hosting the “Official Wiz Khalifa After-Party” which will feature Wiz’s own Chevy Woods and DJ Bonics. Come party with Wiz and the Taylor Gang after the show inside Blu. Tickets are limited, and this event will sell-out. $10 advance, $15 at door.

Electronic music certainly has made its way into the mainstream. With DJ’s like David Guetta making the charts with his remixes, and Paul Oakenfold on tour with Madonna, and remixing hits for Britney Spears, to DubStep beats on Top 40 radio hits, it’s no wonder the electronic world is more popular than ever. We here at PRE continue to try to create an Electronic Music scene here in Lake Tahoe with shows this year like Matt Darey, Jeff Taisch and the Opulent Temple DJ’s, and the legendary Paul Oakenfold. PRE has presented such greats in Tahoe as Tiesto and Kaskade, and on June 24, we teaming up with Syd Gris and the Opulent Temple folks from Burning Man to present The Crystal Method along with Opulent DJ Dex Stakker, along with a team of other DJ’s like Billy Wonka, Erik Lobe, DJ Kos, Spence Lee, and DJ Rundown. Costumes and Burning Man flavor will be in full-force on June 24, as we raise money for the Opulent Temple Sound Camp. Advanced tickets start at just $20. Call MontBleu to reserve yours now.

Another amazing electronic show is slated for the MontBleu Theatre on Sunday, July 10, with DubWarz. This live on-stage battle of some of the hottest DubStep DJ’s in the county masterminded by Billy Wonka, and starring the legendary DJ Kioki, and Liquid Stranger. This could very well be the hottest parties of the summer! Advanced tickets are recommended. All ages show.

The Award-Winning, family-friendly production show, “Masters Of Magic” returns to Lake Tahoe for the entire Summer season. Beginning June 30, and running through Labor Day Weekend, Sept 4, “Masters of Magic” will feature Magician of the Year, Tony Clark, Stage Magician of the Year, Danny Cole, and the lovely Stacy Cole, Christopher Hart from The Addams Family movies (“Hand”), as well as Farrell Dillion from TV’s Masters of Illusion. “Masters Of Magic” will run nightly Wednesday-Sunday, at 8p, with two shows on Saturday 7pm & 9pm. This is an all-ages show perfect for the entire family. $19.95 for adults, $14.95 for children 17 and under.

July 4th weekend will creep up on us before you know it, so make your plans now to see one of the funniest comedians on television, Jo Koy on Saturday, July 2. He can be seen weekly as a regular guest on E!’s “Chelsea Lately” and is poised for even more success with his role in the upcoming NBC comedy pilot “Are You There Vodka? Its Me, Chelsea”, based on the autobiographical book of the same name by Chelsea Handler. Speaking of Chelsea, the Comedians of Chelsea Lately Tour is making a stop here in Lake Tahoe. Loni Love, Josh Wolf, Sarah Colonna, and Fortune Feimster will take over the MontBleu Theatre on Saturday, August 13. Get your tickets early for both Jo Koy on July 2nd, and the Comedians of Chelsea Lately on August 13.

Other great shows confirmed this summer so far include Todd Rundgren, the comedy of Nick Cannon, Sky Blu of LMFAO, Lisa Lampanelli, The Ghost Whisperer James Van Praagh, Singer/Songwriter Brandi Carlile, Aaron Lewis of Staind, KC & The Sunshine Band Dance Party, and more national tours arriving soon. This place gets too hot, that’s it.  Reset button. That’s why I sing what I sing – to pull us all in the same direction, the same future. April 2011 – The hottest shows come to Lake Tahoe for spring ski/snowboard season.

Spring is here, weather is improving, and we keep working hard at PRE to bring some of the hottest shows in the country to Lake Tahoe for spring ski/snowboard season.   We had a blast in March with some great shows, but what stands out from all of them is the Trevor Hall concert we did for the Jerel Dutton Benefit.  It was a magical evening from beginning to end.  The Mark Sexton Band from Reno opened the show, then Jerel Dutton made his homecoming debut, singing two amazing songs and addressing the audience for the first time since his almost losing his life back in November.   We’ve posted pictures and videos of this event at our fan page, www.facebook.com/PREpresent.   As a “fan” of PRE, you can also win tickets to all our shows, backstage passes, even room/show packages.

We will start out our spring season with one of the funniest ladies of comedy, Sarah Silverman on April 9.  Sarah’s comic style is somewhat controversial and could perhaps be considered edgy, or even over the edge. She was raised by Jewish parents, so the topic of religion is often on the table. She has also addressed issues like sex and racism in her shows.  If you’re never seen Sarah Silverman, I highly recommend her if you love to laugh!!  She’s great.

Yonder Mountain String Band will stop in Lake Tahoe on their spring tour, on Wednesday, April 20.  Yonder on 4/20 will be one of the best shows this season.  Guaranteed to sell-out so get your tickets early.  Yonder Mountain String Band has always played music by its own set of rules. Bending bluegrass, rock and countless other influences that the band cites, Yonder has pioneered a sound of their own. With their traditional lineup of instruments, the band may look like a traditional bluegrass band at first glance but they’ve created their own music that transcends any genre. Dave Johnston points out “What could be more pure than making your own music.” Yonder’s sound cannot be classified purely as “bluegrass” or “string music” but rather it’s an original sound created from “looking at music from [their] own experiences and doing the best job possible.” The band continues to play by their own rules on their new record The Show.

OpulentTempleDJ’s Come To Tahoe for a benefit,  Christina: The Epic Voyage To Black Rock City.  Join Opulent Temple DJ’s Jeff Taisch, DJ Dulce Vita, DJ Sentient, and Special Guest DJ Dan Saenz, along with the Tahoe Fire Dancers on Saturday, April 23 for an amazing night of music, dance, drink, entertainment, and BRC community support. 100% of all proceeds from this event will go toward Burning Man’s 2010 Art Car Of The Year, “Christina”. This NOT-FOR-PROFIT event will be inside the MontBleu Theatre, which has been home to such DJ’s as Tiësto, Paul Oakenfold, Kaskade, DJ Dan, Donald Glaude, BassNectar, and more. The evening will feature other surprise artists, dancers, videos/pictures from our camp(s). Donations are $20.00, and advanced purchase is highly recommended due to prior like-events selling out quickly.

PRE’s Sports Division is proud to be involved with Telefutura’s Boxing Series. Nevada’s own Jesse Brinkley (25-6, 22 KOs) will take on Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin (23-0, 17 KOs) for the  I.B.O. January 2011 – It’s going to be an amazing year of entertainment and events at the lake.

Happy 2011.  It’s going to be an amazing year of entertainment and events at the lake.  We are starting out of the gate with a local’s celebration for the New Year.  Since most of us have to work on New Years Eve we’ve planned a party to kick-off 2011, Ozomatli. From L.A. to the World and now in Lake Tahoe! These “World Music” giants will perform at MontBleu Casino Resort, Saturday, January 8, 2011.  Their music– a notorious urban-Latino-and-beyond collision of hip hop and salsa, dancehall and cumbia, samba and funk, merengue and comparsa, East LA R&B and New Orleans second line, Jamaican ragga and Indian raga– has long followed a key mantra. Opening for Ozomatli, The Mark Sexton Band has been four years in the making and leads the way in further innovating the sound of Soul & Reggae. The Mark Sexton Band flexes a significant message in their music, dealing with pure raw love and an understanding for real music.  The Mark Sexton Band is celebrating the release of their CD, Listen Out, which was released in August.  Also on this date,  Drinking with Clowns is a band with a unique blend of Latin sound and funky rhythms that will send you grooving into the ecstasy of dance. Their music ignites a sense of freedom unparalleled to any other mus f in their eclectic sound and vibrant energy. Their music is as much of a paradox as their name, with lyrics ical experience. Lose yoursel that have a variety of dual meanings and sophisticated aphorisms. Let Drinking with Clowns make you smile, laugh, groove, and most of all lose yourself to the sound of music. Advanced tickets are recommended by called MontBleu, (775) 588-3515, or online at www.ticketmaster.com

The Winter Greens Tour featuring Rebelution with special guests Iration and Orgōne, is one of the hottest tours in the country.  They are making their Lake Tahoe stop on Sunday, January 16, 2011.  Rebelution first united in Santa Barbara, California, built from a wide array of musical backgrounds. With Reggae as the focus, the group set out to create a fresh and vibrant sound which they dub California Reggae. The band released their highly anticipated full-length album in June of 2007 and just weeks after its release, “Courage to Grow” became one of the most downloaded Reggae albums on iTunes. By the end of the year, it had been awarded the iTunes Editors Choice: Best Reggae Album 2007. With influences stretching through multiple genres, Iration’s style defies categorization. They have called their sound “New Roots”, taking roots reggae and giving it a modern twist. Elements of dub stand at the forefront of Iration’s sound. Los Angeles based band Orgone is many souls with a cosmic connection, a natural creative force and musicians who have played together for years.  With a rooted sense of funk, soul, afrobeat, deep rhythms and an intimate understanding of dj culture as well as each others’ individual talents, Orgone seamlessly slides through multiple styles and dynamic performances.

George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, is by far one of my favorite shows I’ve produced at the lake.  Big funk jams, with an amazing amount of musician, singers and percussionists on stage. Rock ‘N Roll Hall Of Fame Legend  will “funk out”SouthShore Sunday, January 16, 2011. George Clinton was the mastermind of the bands Parliament and Funkadelic during the 1970s and early 1980s, and is a solo funk artist as of 1981. He has been called one of the most important innovators of funk music, next to James Brown and Sly Stone.
